Testimonies

Hi Church, My names Chris, this is a brief version of my testimony. 

1 Timothy 2:1-4 I urge, then, first of all, that all petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people. This is good, and pleases god our savior, WHO WANTS ALL PEOPLE TO BE SAVED AND TO COME TO A KNOWLEDGE OF TRUTH. 

Leading up to the night of 26/06/25 I would describe myself as a angry non believer/atheist. This led to refusal of any faith driven discussions with my partner and children. No engagement at Dubbo Christian School events and being unpleasant with Christian or religious groups of any kind. On the night of the June 26th 2025 around 3am i was woken by the sight of my unit being lit up in a peaceful glow. 

Naturally I thought I had left lights on and I started to check all switches. I started to become confused when this didn't turn them off. Things started to get more confusing and clear at the same time when I heard a voice speaking to me telling me there is a plan and purpose to my life. That I am forgiven. that I will know what to do. 

This event left me feeling at peace and calm (still confused) and that same day I sent a txt to my partner stating I have to go to church. Sunday the 29th of June was my first time going for myself. And not forced by an event I had to attend. 

But with my mind still working overtime with past beliefs I would find myself still researching evidence that Jesus and God doesn't exist (this left me feeling lost and down). Bring on the night of 1/11/25. Dreaming and having a conversation with a person i don't know sitting beside my bed telling me that none of this is real, That God doesn't exist... When I felt a hand touch me saying "Not here. Not him. Not now. Leave this place." I was being delivered. The person next to me vanished. A black cloud was being pulled from me. And there was an amazing, happy, peace and joy I felt when this was over. 

Since that night I have had no doubts, no research of any kind. My past beliefs feel like a life time ago. A different person. My journey is still fresh, I'm still on fire for our King, our Lord, our Father. 

I read the bible every day. Not page by page but i open to a random page to read and say "ok Father - what are you teaching me today" I now attend Church every week. Sometimes both sessions. A couple of times all 3. The people in this church have become family. Its the highlight of my week. 6/7/25 I went up for prayer with Jono and committed to Jesus. 26/07/25 my first men's group meeting. 4/8/25 started group with Graham Francis 10/8/25 baptized in the holy spirit by Brett and Amanda Haddon 23/11/25 water baptized at the tent of promise along with my son. I joined the kids church team and committed to a discipleship along side my partner. I have been healed by the grace of God.

Following the Holy Spirit
While studying the gifts of the Holy Spirit one night during a Men’s Connect Group, we prayed for a young man preparing to lead Bible studies at a local high school. Men of all ages felt Holy Spirit place a word on their heart for young man’s life and ministry. It was powerful to see God’s Word in action in real time! Over the following weeks, many “God moments” were experienced by the high school students through this lunchtime Bible Study!

Sprained Ankle Healed
I sprained my ankle during mud run and couldn’t put weight on it. I went to Ps Dave McDonalds worship night, a sister at church saw me limping, she prayed for me and I went home pain free and walking normal! Thank you Jesus for your healing!

When I am weak, He is strong
I had been preparing for a major exam in medicine. I sat the exams and learned I missed out by 1 point. It was a major disappointment. Two weeks before the next exam I tripped and hit my head hard against a wall. I struggled with headaches and was unable to concentrate for long. We prayed and relied on God even more. I sat the exam and this time passed with flying colours! I still don’t know why God didn’t let me pass the first time. But I praise God he got me through the second time. All glory goes to Him! It is proof even when I am weak He is strong!
